The Global Community League is an established project facilitating a fun sports platform for people of all nationalities, backgrounds and cul tures. It encourages people to come together to create a community where values are shared with respect and understanding, through the game of football.

Stockholm, like any large multicultural city, experiences serious social issues like racism, segregation, isolation and loneliness. It is in this cultural melting pot that the Global Community League takes action.

The league works on the psychological and physical needs of the community, and enables its members to connect through their hobbies and talents.

Through 'beyond the game' activities, the league ensures everyone who attends is catered for. Games and entertainment are also available for children during and after the league to ensure everyone benefits.

We have seen over 20 nationalities, organizations and churches participate in this league, and in 2008, a womens' league was started to widen participation.

We believe people are able to live together in unity, as long as they have things in common. So we provide activities that encourage them to communicate and find common ground while embracing diversity.
