The Festival of Nations is an annual event held in Stockholm, Sweden, bringing people from various nations, cultures, communities, churches, companies, and organizations together in fellowship. The purpose of the festival is to celebrate our nations through music and culture shows.
The multicultural makeup of Stockholm plays a huge part in the socio-economic development of Sweden. But integrating into a new society can be difficult and intimidating at times.We saw the need for a place where people from all nations could meet around a common cause.
The festival is a great place to bring people together, gain a sense of belonging, meet new people and make friends. It is a platform where everyone is respected, embraced, integrated and celebrated.
We work in a crosscultural society where we have people from different parts of the world. With this in mind we have started a cultural event program were volunteers will have the opportunity to teach or learn languages, Cultural dances,cook different foods and share their culture to the community youths. We are part of a traditional cultural dance group lacated in Alby called Nsako cultural dancers which teaches and performs different cultural dances from countries like Brazil, Uganda, ghana and south Africa.
