ABOUT US
Friends In Service International (Vänner i Tjänst) is a non-governmental organization rooted in developing peoples and communities using the basic resources available to them. We identify their needs with wisdom, and work with them to find lasting, practical solutions.
Our vision is to be an influential local resource centre that proactively tackles the causes of social deprivation, poverty, depression, segregation, and other societal ills. We strive to achieve this through programmes pioneering services that foster confidence, the ability to make life-changing choices, and develop the potential for responsible participation and leadership within the community.
We work internationally with both youths and adults committed to serving others. Given the opportunity, we can all perform to our greatest potential. So we help those who have lost hope to see beyond their situations and realise that they have the ability to achieve and succeed in life. |
